Jia Yi (JY) specialises across the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice areas such as civil and commercial disputes, arbitration, adjudication, employment and debt recovery. She is also an accredited Mediator with the Malaysian Mediation Centre (MMC) and has vast experience in court-led mediation sessions. JY is highly regarded as being meticulous, tenacious, reliable and having strong work ethics.
Prior to joining Messrs Raihan & Shai, JY also practiced in the same areas with another established law firm in Kuala Lumpur where she assisted in handling matters ranging from private clients to government-owned companies and bodies. Before being admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2018, she was under the tutelage of Mr Cheow Wee of Messrs Cheow Wee & Mai specialising in white collar crime. JY read law and graduated from the National University of Malaysia in 2016.
